LAURUS TECHNOLOGIES ANNOUNCES NEW CUSTOMER PORTAL FOR IMPROVED INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ASSET MANAGEMENT

New tool greatly reduces costs for customers and dramatically improves their ability to manage their infrastructure



ITASCA, Illinois – March 3, 2010 – Laurus Technologies, an Itasca, IL-based provider of IT consulting and systems integration solutions, today announced a new tool that will dramatically improve its customer’s ability to manage their IT infrastructure.  The new customer portal, available at Portal.LaurusTech.com, will provide total control and visibility of a firm’s hardware instillations, track asset depreciation and book value, and manage configuration and software licensing information.

“Our customers have been telling us that the cost and complexity involved in managing contracts for hardware and software assets is just too high. It’s become a struggle to maintain this information using traditional methods,” says Brian Wolfe, Partner, Managed Services for Laurus Technologies. “We have taken the feedback we’ve received from our customers and developed a set of web-based tools that address these problems once and for all.”.

Key benefits of the new portal include:

Additional capabilities provided by the Laurus Technologies customer portal include the ability to track End-of-Service Life (EOSL) information for select manufacturers and provide proactive email notifications in advance of warranty and contract expiration. The portal also provides administrative access to Managed Services and SaaS offerings including hosted messaging, email archiving, remote backup and disaster-recovery services.
