ITASCA, Ill, – April 22, 2010 – Laurus Technologies, an Itasca, Ill.-based provider of IT consulting and systems integration solutions, today announced it is moving to a new facility just two miles away.  The new headquarters, located at 1222 Hamilton Parkway in Itasca, is nearly double the size of the firm’s current space.  The move is expected to enable the firm to enhance its IT services.

“Our new location will help us serve customers better,” said John Udelhofen, CEO of Laurus Technologies.  “This facility enables us to deliver fully-integrated systems easier and more quickly; provides enough space to expand our managed services business; and gives us the room we need to conduct product trials and testing on behalf of our customers outside their production environment.”

The highlight of the facility is a Technology Demonstration Center, where customers can test and try new products and software. Another feature is an Equipment Integration Facility to customize systems prior to on-site installation.

With local firms increasingly strapped for space in their own data centers, Laurus Technologies offers an alternative site for firms to test new ideas or trial applications in a safe environment before bringing them into their facilities.

The Equipment Integration Facility provides additional ways for customers to cut costs and red tape with deliveries.  IT installations often mean dozens of cartons, boxes and pallets, frequently arriving on different days from multiple suppliers. With Laurus Technologies’ offsite facility, when a customer orders a server, they get a server—not a collection of shipping cartons.  

 Laurus Technologies has found a home in Itasca and plans to stay.  “We’ve been in Itasca since 1999 and are proud to be part of the business community,” said Udelhofen. “We signed a 10-year lease at the new site and anticipate it will meet our needs for continued growth for years to come. We will add staff as needed and will remain involved in the community.” The company expects the move to be complete by the end of April, and customer services will not be affected during the process.
