Laurus Technologies Named to 2010 Inc. 5,000

Company Recognized as one of fastest-growing private companies in U.S. for the third consecutive year

ITASCA, Ill. - (August 30, 2010) - Laurus Technologies, an IT solutions and professional services firm based in Itasca, IL, announced today that it has been named to Inc. magazine's list of 5,000 fastest growing private companies.  This is the third consecutive year Laurus Technologies has made the list. Based on the firm’s three-year overall growth of 62%, Laurus Technologies was ranked number 3185.

The Inc. 5000 ranking is the latest to showcase Laurus Technologies’ continued growth. So far this year, the firm has been named to the VAR 500 list of largest IT service providers and the Crain’s Fast Fifty list of fastest growing companies headquartered in Chicago.

The Inc. 5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2006 through 2009. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by the first week of 2006, and therefore able to show four full calendar years of sales. Additionally, they have to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent -- not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies -- as of December 31, 2009. Revenue in 2006 must have been at least $200,000, and revenue in 2009 must have been at least $2 million. The top 10 percent of companies on the list comprise the Inc. 500, now in its 29th year.
