CLIENT EXECUTIVE - MANUFACTURING

 

KEY FUNCTIONS

 

The Client Executive (CE) is accountable for developing and maintaining executive-level client relationships and industry status (branding) that directly results in sales opportunities and incremental sales growth for all Laurus business units.

 

The Manufacturing CE is primarily responsible for business development defined as identifying and transitioning sales opportunities in manufacturing accounts to Laurus lines of business. The CE will perform networking, branding, presentation and authoring activities that demonstrate thought leadership in applying technology to address business, financial and operational challenges within manufacturers and distributors. Once identified, the CE will facilitate the transition of the opportunity to a line of business account manager and assist in qualifying and closing the sale as needed.

 

The CE will participate in strategic planning, account planning, market research, and partner development for the manufacturing industry across all Laurus lines of business.

 

The geographic coverage for this position is Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Experience selling solutions IT or consulting solutions to manufacturers and distributors with revenues greater than $50 million annually.
  • Existing business network of executives within manufacturing and distribution businesses holding the CEO, COO, CFO and management positions associated with supply chain, product management, production, facilities and logistics.
  • Experience implementing and managing Six Sigma initiatives and LEAN principles in a manufacturing or distribution business
  • Experience working with and understanding of business issues facing manufacturing and distribution executives including administrative, financial, and operational.
  • Experience working with and understanding Information Technology issues facing manufacturing CIOs
  • Experience in business development and creation of optimal customer solutions.
  • Involvement with manufacturing, distribution and executive professional associations. 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE

 

·         Experience working for a manufacturer and/or distributor in an administrative, financial, production or IT management role.

·         Knowledge of manufacturing and distribution business processes and issues

·         Experience with pertinent ERP software applications including SAP and Oracle

·         Experience with related supply chain, automation, logistics, and inventory control software applications.

·         Experience with pertinent enabling technologies critical to manufacturers and distributors including business intelligence, data warehouses, data interfaces, and information security

·         Experience with infrastructure technologies including servers, storage, virtualization, backup and recovery and networks.

·         Experience with IT management standards including ITIL, CobiT, PMBOK

·         Preference given to CPIM and Six Sigma Certification,
