SYSTEMS ENGINEER

The Systems Engineer will be responsible for interfacing with customer's technical team to design, install, upgrade, troubleshoot, and perform knowledge transfer of the proposed solution. On occasion, the SE will participate in pre-sales activities pertaining to their area of expertise.

Required Skills/Experience:

• 3-5 years of hardware hands-on experience in areas of storage infrastructure and systems engineering with Sun and/or Hitachi platforms
• 2-3 years experience in Symantec NetBackup
• Experience in managing large Sun/HDS enterprise environments
• Prior experience working for a systems integrator/IT consulting firm highly desirable
• Energetic and possesses a sense of urgency
• Highly analytical and excellent problem solving skills
• Adaptable and team-oriented

Desired Technical Skills:

Networker, CommVault, Backup Exec, Pure Disk, De-duplication experience, Virtual Tape Libraries

Education:

Bachelor's Degree required

Desired Certifications:

• Sun - CSAS, SCSA, SCNA, Certified Sys Ad
• HDS - HCP, HCI, HCA
• Symantec - SCS (Symantec Certified Specialist)
• HP - APS, AIC, ASP, ASE, APC
