SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT - MINNESOTA

The Solutions Architect will work closely with the sales teams to map customer business requirements to technical solutions and provide technical leadership and oversight to the implementation of these solutions. This is an individual contributor position responsible for the overall design and technical oversight of complex technology solutions driven by business initiatives in customer environments. This responsibility typically spans all layers of the business infrastructure and interfaces with the customer and executive management to define requirements and recommend solutions. The Architect works closely with the Account Management Team, the Engagement Manager, and the required Laurus Practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participates in customer engagement planning and supporting sales efforts
• Reviews and influences existing customer strategic/business goals
• Collects, documents, and prioritizes customer requirements
• Articulates alternatives in terms of cost, benefit, and risk where multiple solutions exist.
• Assists the Project Manager in the creation of technical project plans, and assists in assembling teams for customer engagements.
• Promote and evangelize innovation and technologies
• Quality Assurance audits

• Proven track record in a pre-sales role conducting performance, sizing and capacity planning for EMC solutions
• Experience with consolidation and virtualization solutions
• Experience or knowledgeable applying Architectural methodologies
• Prior experience working in a delivery capacity for data storage and management, data protection, high availability and back up recovery, integration and migration
• Ability to architect Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Solutions
• Must possess relevant EMC professional certifications

Bachelors of Science or Engineering. Masters degree preferred.

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS: Some travel will be required.
