Position Title: Software Architect
Business Unit: Software Practice
Practice: Identity Management

Position Description:

As part of our growing delivery team, Identity Management Software Architect will be able to provide understanding of customer's business objectives, define tradeoff alternatives and communicate Enterprise level IT solutions to customers. The position requires the ability to analyze customer's Information Technology (IT) Architecture and its effectiveness in meeting the company's business needs and interfacing with customer upper management to articulate the business and technical value behind identity management. This position will be required to perform on-site work as part of an implementation team to perform a variety of technical tasks which include, but are not limited to, solutions design, architecture, requirements gathering, product installation, configuration, tuning, development, testing, debugging, operations, analysis, and documentation. In addition, the Software Architect will be the key subject matter expert that will guide, mentor, and manage the technical deployment team.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in architecting Identity Management solutions including identity provisioning, lifecycle maintenance, access control, and Single Sign On enablement.
  • Directory/LDAP Server architecture, design and implementation.
  • Federated Identity
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills suitable for communication to technical levels and to mid-level management up through senior executives.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision/management direction
  • Must have 6-10+ years of professional work experience. This should include 6+ years' experience in professional implementation/deployment of enterprise software (i.e. C++, Java, XML, LDAP, SSL and JSP).
  • Experience working with Java, C++, VB, or .NET.
  • Experience with one or more Application Servers (Sun, Weblogic, WebSphere, Tomcat).
  • A strong background with web environments both Windows and UNIX.
  • Familiarity with network protocols, firewalls, FTP, Telnet, SMTP, and XML.
  • Must have knowledge about databases (Oracle, SQL Server) and writing SQL.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and a proven ability to successfully navigate and relate to varying levels of functional and technical personnel at customer sites.
  • Must be able and willing to travel (up to 50-75%) and perform duties at remote customer sites
Desired Skills/Abilities:
  • Experience with QA duties is desirable (Usability Testing, Performance Testing, Automated Testing, Test Scripts, Test Cases and Test Plans)
  • Successful completion of software installation for multi-site Fortune 500 (and similar) organizations, preferably as part of a Services/Deployment team
  • Familiarity/fluency with commercial security applications or enterprise directories and experience with the monitoring/management/deployment of said products highly desirable
  • Lead large scale software system integration projects with focus on Identity Management and Single Sign On (SSO)
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies
  • Knowledge of other competing technologies in the Identity Management and SSO space
Education:

BS/MS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems
